Downtown Athens, Georgia is pretty nice. Ice cream shops, restaurants, and tons of bars. Although it’s pretty small, one would spend a lot of time in the many places they have to offer. I’ll definitely be visiting this part much more often.

I never tried Five Guys Burgers and Fries until now. It was pretty good. It’s pretty expensive though. If you want a burgers, fries, and a drink be prepared to spend at least 10 bucks(as opposed to $6-8) at most restaurants. The people were very friendly. The fry cook liked my pug shirt so he gave me extra fries. In speaking of fries, even without the extra fries I got, the amount of fries they give you is phenomenal. I still haven’t eaten all of them. It was a great burger experience.

Please bro, tell me more about how you like the “indie sound”

When it comes to going out to places, I like to go alone for the most part. Not trying sound like a “cool loner”. It’s just easier for me. I can come and go somewhere on my own liking, not having to adjust to other people’s time constraints. Something like that.

I can see myself as the old man sitting in a restaurant by myself.

I got to listen to two really good new records out while spending forever working on lab notes. Valtari by Sigur Ros is definitely a favorite. It seems like a nod towards their older material, which i prefer to the stuff they’ve put on the in past 4-5 years maybe. I went in to Heaven by The Walkmen expecting it to be great, and it was. They have a great sound overall and this album is definitely a continuation of that.

I’m so happy my friend is okay.

One of my really good friends said some unsettling things the other night. Two days of unanswered phone calls. I honestly don’t know what to say, but I just hope it’s not what I think.

  • I took my DAT Tuesday. It went really well. In spite of the fact that morning I got the stomach virus from my younger brother. I was dying during the entire exam. You get your scores after the exam. I did well in every part EXCEPT one. It’s the section a lot of schools don’t look at. At the same time, I don’t want it to be the reason I don’t get in anywhere. I don’t mind a retake of course. We’ll see  My other parts of my application are definitely strong.
  • This was definitely my most successful semester. I’m missing one grade(which I think/hope is an A-), but I currently have a 3.91 for the semester. A lot of me wishes I could have mimicked those results in the past, but it’s no big deal.
  • I’m at the University of Georgia for the summer as a Summer Research Intern. I’m gonna be working on projects dealing with RNA-based immunity of bacteria. I start tomorrow. I’m really excited about the lab I’m with. I’ve already read a few articles. We also get our own personal lab coats which was definitely a plus.

just a recap of the past few days

I was on twitter hearing some friends talk about how they don’t want daughters. After laughing for a good half hour I wondered why some guys were so against having daughters. I always felt like they didn’t want their daughters treated like they treat girls now.

For me, I would love to have daughters. sons too. One of each.

The only reason I would object to having only daughters is that I’d still have to take out the trash.
